Silus grew up on football, his Father started agility drills with him at a very young age. He had him playing flag football by the age of 5. All he knew was football and was always in the shadow of his older brother Axel. By by his 8th grade year he felt burnt out and decided to just do basketball and track going into high school. The summer prior to his Junior year, the teams best CB, and best in the state broke his femur in a cock fighting match gone bad. It was at this time the head coach came to his doorstep begging Silus to give football another chance. He decided to give it another go and, with Silus’s past, he was an instant standout on the team. He made the state Sertoma East/West game both his Junior and Senior year and was an absolute lockdown corner. In the last 2 years of high school Silus developed a new passion for football and decided to take in some offers to see where it could take him, hoping to bring a title home, something Axel could never do.
