Hello, my name is Trey Stivers born and raised in Boone NC. I was always a basketball fan then I started playing it around 4th grade and I fell in love! My dad pushed me to my limits sometimes making me practice and we’ll into the night past bedtime. I made travel ball my 6th grade year and I set records for my school including most triple doubles in a single game and and season for both my middle school and freshman year!! It was. Always my mission to be in the NBA. But summer after my freshman year I was on the court and here came the varsity QB and head coach. They was telling me how great my size was and how I had the perfect hands to palm any football. I told them I never really played it but I knew a lot about it bc I’ve watched it my whole life. Then I said y’all know I play basketball why you here? They explained that the TE for the school tore his ACL and wasn’t going to be back next season and they said with your size we can make you great. I thought about it and said if it won’t affect basketball I’ll give it a try! So we hit the field that next day and I was in LOVE! The coach said kid your meant for This. Long story short I finished my high school years setting records in both basketball and football. Senior year I set the school record in receiving with 1,203 yards 11 Rec TD and 3 rush TD. And when the offers rolled in for basketball I told my dad I am sorry but I’m WAITING FOR THE FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIPS ❤️
