Iowa vs Notre Dame

Just like last week, Iowa comes into this game against an opponent that is going in the exact opposite direction of them. The Hawkeyes have lost their last 4 games and are still searching for that second win of the season. They’re all but eliminated from the playoffs at this point. On the other side, you have a Notre Dame squad who are really feeling good after winning their last two games. They, along with Florida State, have been pegged shoe-ins for the playoffs, but can Iowa play spoiler?

What to Look For

Notre Dame brings the most prolific offense in the country into this game against an Iowa defense that has talent, but has struggled as of late. OPOY candidate Ty White should have another big game in this one, as he continues to lead an impressive offense through the final stretch of the season. Look for the two-headed monster of White and David Woods to put up their usual stats.

Key Matchup

Ty White vs Iowa’s Defense

Ty White, our reigning offensive player of the week, had a massive game last week against Ohio State. If Iowa wants to have any shot at winning this game, they have to try and slow him down. If not, we could see a blowout in this one.

Prediction

Iowa is going to struggle to slow down this high-powered Notre Dame offense and just hasn’t figured it out on offense to a point where they’ll be able to keep up. Notre Dame is going to win their third-straight game and all but secure a spot in the CFSL playoffs.
