WEEK 8: OHIO STATE VS MICHIGAN

Grinch311 · October 2, 2019

Well, here we go to a battle royal in the Big House. Ohio State is coming into this matchup with not only hopes of an undefeated season, but revenge for last seasons loss to Michigan. While Michigan is looking for a win and with some help a playoff birth. It a high flying passing team versus a beat you down running game. Don’t let either team’s record fool you they both hate each other and this rivalry runs deep. Michigan has won the last two matchups, but Ohio State will look to even it up.

MICHIGAN

The Wolverines come into this matchup as one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten tonight and Dewey Angies arm is the reason for it. He has had some of the most spectacular passes this year and showed his magic with a last-second touchdown pass to Giorgio Pipino last week. He has the ability to pass the ball to several targets and Wideouts Pipino, Cutter McGillicuddy, and Darwyn Garcia are more than willing to catch his missiles. Although the running game hasn’t been there strong suit they find a way to pick up big plays and touchdowns from RB Adam Croft. Don’t sleep on him he was a big reason for the win last week also.

The defense has a group of tough nose players in the likes of LB Jake Lake, Ty Palmer, and DT Clyve Pipino. They know it will be on them to find a way to slow this monster of a running game from Ohio State. The one thing that may be the best chance for Michigan is to pull down some turnovers which Safeties Parker Mcdonald and Miles Freeman know all about. Throw Lucky Mcfaddens ballhawk skills and Michigan will make sure it’s not a pass that beats them.

OHIO STATE

Here come the wreaking ball and his name is Frost Carlson. He not only leads the nation in rushing but very really ever turns the ball over. Xavier Garcia- Allen is also an amazing running Quarterback, but last we he showed Washington that he can sling the ball a little too. Wideouts Speedy Johnson, Lawrence Lexington, Willow Hayes and TE Jacob Flores showed they have the big-play ability also and a sleeping giant may have awakened. They find a way to wear you down and in the end win.

This defence is sick and I mean that in the sense that they are super talented. They find a way to make the big plays when it is needed and put their offence in short field opportunities. The names speak for themselves and other teams know what’s coming. Martavis Marriot, Scottie James, Kevin Brackett, Juan Cantu, and Tom Pence. Simply just of a few of a defence known as the sharks. Dewey will need to be extra careful because it takes these guy just a smell of a chance and they will turn yo over

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Can Michigan get Adam Croft going against the Sharks? If they can’t produce a running game, then they will sit back and pick him apart. Ohio State wants to stay undefeated and I wouldn’t beat against them.

PREDICTION

“Ohio State has played undefeated ball all season by leaning on their running offense as well as their stiff defense. Michigan has done well the past couple weeks and has won two straight. I have to go with Ohio State in this one. The Buckeyes are able to control the clock very well and Michigan loves to rely on the passing game. Dewey throws a couple picks to the sharks and Ohio State wins by two scores.” – HornsNation
