Week three has started off with a bang, and now Alabama and Clemson look to up the ante, as the Tigers are seeking an upset of the Crimson Tide in Death Valley. Our analysts have got who they believe comes out victorious for tonight.
Tom Pence’s Predictions:
Alabama 36, Clemson 34
Both teams can put up points and Clemson has shown they can do it quickly. As much as I want to pull for the Tigers in this one, I think they will be just barely short against the tide with a late turnover to seal it and the heartbreak to continue for Clemson.\
Jimbo’s Predictions:
Alabama 31, Clemson 27
A close one set apart by Bama’s defense. Clemson has one of the better offenses but Fant and Carter are the difference makers over the top.
Houston Freeman’s Predictions:
Alabama 30, Clemson 28
Close losses to good teams seem to be this season’s theme for Clemson, and I don’t think it stops this week. Alabama will be fired up after an emotional loss to non-conference rival USC last week. Keep your eye on Will Slay to carve up the Bama defense that allowed 363 pass yards last week, but the Tide will ultimately ride halfback Ferrell Stormin’ Norman’s coattails to victory.
Connor Russell’s Predictions:
Alabama 35, Clemson 24
Bama is good. Clemson is not good. Should be an easy win for Bama, though Clemson loves to make games closer than they should be.
BMillz’s Predictions:
Alabama 35, Clemson 34
Mark it down. This is Alabama tailback Ferrell Norman’s breakout game. I think he will be the difference in a very close game. Clemson will also have a 10 point lead at halftime.
NightHawk’s Predictions:
Alabama 31, Clemson 35
Who else is feeling an overtime classic?!!!!! This one has all the makings of just that with a Clemson team at home desperately needing a win after coming up short in back to back weeks. Alabama better come in ready as the Tigers are hungry. Both defenses have been solid so far but Clemson will be tested by Alabama’s run game. I think the Tigers match up well against Alabama as their run defense has been good. The one player that will make a difference in this game? Look for Blaze Gunner to be the reason the Tigers win their first game in season seven.
Hornsnation’s Predictions:
ALABAMA 24, CLEMSON 31
A big SEC matchup, Clemson has impressed with close losses against the top teams in the SEC. Alabama might be counting their chickens before they hatch but Clemson gets their first W of the season.
Jeff Melinyshyn’s Predictions:
Alabama 35, Clemson 28
Bama is currently fifth in the SEC at 1-1 while Clemson is sixth at 0-2. Clemson’s second half defense has been poor to say the least, if they sure that up, they can win this game and could of been 2-0, but Bama will be too much in this evenly matched game between these two SEC foes.
DAVID ROY’s Predictions:
ALABAMA 31, CLEMSON 38
Clemson has played exceptionally well, they just haven’t quite been able to close a game, and a win tonight would be a pretty major upset in the CFSL world. Alabama has looked good, but their offense has been…inconsistent. Tonight should be the night when Clemson finally puts together a four quarter effort and notches their first win of the season.
THE VERDICT:
It’s a 6-3 set with the Crimson Tide being the favorites. Still, the expectation is that this game will be hard-fought, and close. It should come down to a single possession and the Tigers will have an opportunity to pull off the upset.
