Season 20 is fast approaching and it is time to take a look at the conference previews. However, this time with a new spin. This season the conference previews will be structured just like the coaches’ poll in college football.

Each AD was asked to list his top four teams in their conference without listing themselves. Then all the results were totaled to make the list below. Here are the teams the ADs think will be contenders!

RankTeamFirst-Place Votes
1Florida State5
3Notre Dame1
Vote-inNorth Carolina0

No team in the CFSL earned a higher percentage of available points in the coaches’ poll than Florida State. Every team listed them as the favorite to win the ACC (except for FSU themselves). The hype is strong in Tallahassee. Now it will be up to Grin and his gang to prove they deserve this ranking.

While the Seminoles ran away with first place, the race for second place was much closer. Only one point separated Miami and Notre Dame. Notre Dame did receive a first-place vote, but they came just short of the Hurricanes. North Carolina was just a small handful of points behind Notre Dame.

The only three teams to make the playoffs last season from the ACC were Miami, Florida State, and Notre Dame. The ADs expect these three to stay at the top of the conference. However, it is worth noting that North Carolina finished last in the ACC a season ago, but are now expected to make a run at a vote-in spot.

Time will tell how the action in the ACC will play out. Best of luck to all the teams in the conference.
