Last, but not least, we head to the best conference in the CFSL last season. The SEC was Auburn’s conference once again last season, but the middle of the conference didn’t go as planned. Here is how things finished last season.
Last Season’s Standings
Conference Rank | Team |
1 | Auburn |
2 | Kentucky |
3 | Georgia |
4 | Alabama |
5 | Florida |
6 | Tennessee |
AD Coaches Poll
Projected Finish | Team | 1st Place Votes |
1 | Auburn | 5 |
2 | Alabama | 1 |
3 | Florida | – |
4 | Kentucky | – |
5 | Georgia | – |
6 | Tennessee | – |
The state of Alabama runs the SEC (at least in the eyes of the ADs). Auburn was picked to win their third straight SEC title. Alabama was right behind them in the voting and was picked to finish second in every ballot besides their lone first-place vote. If the ADs are correct, the Iron Bowl could be the conference championship game.
Behind the Alabama schools is Florida. The Gators had a great bounce-back last season and many think they will continue to grow this season. Kentucky’s stock has fallen according to the coaches in the conference, as has Georgia’s. Tennessee was picked to finish last in the conference again this season.
Overall, the SEC ADs weren’t far off on last season’s prediction. If that holds, Auburn will remain on top of the conference. Time will tell if that is the case.
