The Big10 got a new look with the loss of Michigan State and the addition of Iowa. How will that affect how the ADs see this conference?
Before we find out, let’s review how this conference finished last season.
Last Season Standings
Rank | Team | Regular Season Record |
1 | USC* | 7-1 |
2 | Michigan State* | 5-3 |
3 | Ohio State* | 6-2 |
4 | Michigan* | 4-4 |
5 | Oregon | 3-5 |
6 | Penn State | 0-8 |
AD Coaches’ Poll
Projected Finish | Team | First Place Votes |
1 | USC | 3 |
2 | Ohio State | 2 |
3 | Michigan | 1 |
4 | Penn State | – |
5 | Oregon | – |
6 | Iowa | – |
The top of the leader board stayed mostly the same in the eyes of the ADs, but the bottom say some changes. First off, the coaches are predicting a Penn State revival after a done season last year. Iowa also wasn’t far off of Oregon, but the ADs think they will have a bit of learning curve, as most new teams do.
Ohio State stayed over Michigan last season with a win over them in The Game. The ADs think they will stay over them, but the margin was very close. Only one point seperated the two teams.
A lot has changed in the Big10, so we will wait to see how accurate the ADs were at picking this conference. Good luck to the Big10 teams.
