Week 9 Players of the Week!

Neal Hennessy · October 30, 2018

Week 9 of the CFSL season saw some big upsets and the SEC title get clinched. It also saw some big performances by some of the league’s big stars!

Offense: for the third time this season, Doug Ohle of Hawaii had a game of 6 or more TDs. It should come as no Surprise that for the third time, the one and Ohle is our player of the week! While Auburn and Michigan were toppled i surprise losses, Hawaii held on against an emotionally charged LSU team in death valley. Ohle had 383 yards passing with 4 TD tosses plus 114 rushing yards and 2 more TDs on the ground to lead his team to a 52-42 victory. Ohle managed a whopping 71% of the votes to run away with the award.

Defense: Tyson Ali is a bonafide star in this league. He is a returning All American playing for the defending national champion Notre Dame Fighting Irish. It can be easy to overlook Ali since he plays interior defensive line, but he has made an impact all year long. This week was no exception as he led his team to a big win over Boise State 31-14 to help keep his teams Rose Bowl hopes alive. Tyson recorded 7 tackles, 4 of them for a loss, 2 sacks and he forced a fumble. Like the offensive winner, Ali dominated the vote, coming in at 68%
