Week Six: TCU vs Miami

Week six brings us a Miami team that is playing to hold on to the number three spot in the SEC and a TCU squad that is fighting for its first win of the season. With Miami in the friendly confines of home they will not make this an easy task for TCU. Will it be home cooking or spoils to the visitors?

TCU

Although TCU is winless on season they have been more than willing to give opponents a fight, just ask Clemson they almost where upset in week four by the boys in purple. It does appear that both quarterback James Kovach and wideout Jared Tetonis are finally on the same page. This may be just what they needed and Miami needs to take note or it could be a big night in the stats book for both of them.

Defensively there is a little more balance for TCU, but it will take the effort defensive ends Marion Davis ans Jabril Jackson disrupting the backfield, while linebackers Aaron Davis and Xavier Colon make it tough on Miamis run game. The passing game will be the responsibility of the secondary of Seth Maynard, Stokley Ferndinand, and Dazhawn Morrison. If the can slow down the passing of Jose Bueno then TCU may do to Miami what that came close to doing to Clemson and that’s upsetting them.

Miami

Miami wants a spot in the playoffs plain and simple. Quarterback Jose Bueno can kill you with both his arm and his legs; which doesn’t make life easy for the TCU defense. Also with targets like King Twixx, Maximillian Mack, Nick Bagg, and tightend Jake Willey what is a defense to do? This is a four headed monster and we haven’t even thrown halfback Speedy Loves name in yet. Miami will be looking to light it up.

The anchors of the Miami bend but don’t break defense is Justin Thyme and Buster Bates both who are some of the best at there spots on defense. Look for them and sack and run stoppers Jim Namen and Colby Randon to be a handful for this TCU offense tonight.

What To Watch For

Jose Bueno against the TCU defense. Bueno is rank in the top four of Quarterbacks in the league. If he can limit giving up sacks and interceptions he should flourish against the second to last place defense in the league.

Prediction

Miami 28, TCU 21

Miami has too many weapons and it will just be too much for TCU tonight. Sorry but it may be 0-6 for the Frogs.
