12 Kai Buford

Kai is the the only son of a Captain of the Louisville Metro Fire Department and an ER Nurse. He was severely undersized the majority of his life but learned that determination and hard work could over come natural ability early on in life. The summer between his sophomore and junior year Kai had a tremendous growth spurt, going from 5’7 to 6’0 and he would begin his senior year at 6’2 185 lbs. Kai grew up watching football with his parents and studying and eventually modeling his play style after legendary safeties of the game like Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, and Brian Dawkins. Kai is still figuring out his new found athleticism but with the hard work and determination his parents instilled in him early on paired with his work ethic Kai is poised to take that next step in his football career.
