Born in the deep south of South Carolina, there wasn’t much to do. You were either in the streets, playing basketball or playing football. Marquis took the football route. He had dreams since a baby of being a starting QB for the NFL and growing up thats what he did. He did great in the little leagues. Although, the older he got the more he started to realize he wasn’t developing as great as the other kids. A lot of kids began to hit growth spurts and grow taller and taller and taller and Marquis just wasn’t growning. His dad had a long talk with him right before his freshman year of highschool.. He was gonna have to switch to the WR position. So Marquis did and he actually did it very well and realized he was way more fit to be a WR. He was able to let his speed and atheltism outshine his 5’11 1/2 frame. Year after year in highscool, his stats improved more and more. He won his first state championship his junior year.. and then his senior year where he was crowned the MVP of the game but what now? Football was all Marquis has now and he’s coming up on graduation and has no clue if he’s going to go to college or if he’s even good enough for college.
