Drake Johnson was a freak of nature in middle school. He was 6′, 220 pounds in 8th grade. But he didn’t pick up a football until the 10th grade. His focus was basketball. When he tried out for football, everyone was shocked. He could hit like a freight train and was agile in pass coverage. He ended up having a monster Jr year, racking up 60 tackles with 3 forced fumbles and a mind-boggling 13 interceptions. His senior year was no different, and he won Illinois state player of the year. Although only a 3 star, he has incredible potential and also has a 3.85 GPA.
