Elijah was born in the city of Cleveland. His family wasn’t the poorest but they did enough just to get by and luckily help Elijah with his dream to play football. Once he became old enough to be able to play organized football, he was signed up for his local youth team and for about 8 years he had played with this team and they were amazingly good. During Elijah’s time there he played both TE/DE, he had good height mostly due to genetics since his dad was 6’5 and mom 5’10. Once Elijah’s 13u season ended he immediately started working out with the high school to become better and worked on his craft at DB. At the time of his freshman year he stood at 6’4 and 185 lb. He clearly had the build and the work ethic and so with that he worked himself up to playing JV as a freshman and by his sophomore year he was playing on varsity. He found himself beginning to come in contact with smaller schools and talked with coaches and even got himself a couple of offers during his junior year. By the time his senior year started he began to get more attention and become more renowned and this was his statement year. He definitely made an impact at Tight End and went crazy as he for one hit one last growth spurt pushing him to 6’6 and he built more muscle, working on his blocking and hands. He would get a fair amount of attention and basically being set to play at the collegiate level he prepared himself.
