After throwing nine touchdowns in her first powderpuff game during her junior year, Alexa was encouraged by her friends to try out for the varsity football team in her senior year. Her decision paid off—she earned the starting quarterback position and finished the season completing 175 of 252 passes (69.4%) for 2,392 yards, 32 touchdowns, and only three interceptions. Alexa led the team to the 6A state championship, where they won with a 45-32 victory.
