James grew up in the small town of Fort Meade where nothing much happened. The biggest name to come out of there was Andrew McCutchen and that was years ago. Stanton wants to get well known and help his widowed dad retire from the mines and have a good life. James started playing football in middle school and became an instant start on the team and went to Fort Meade High School to continue his football career in the Friday night lights. After winning the state championship and having a 4.20 GPA, James is ready for the college experience.
