Ryder Mears brother of Cooper and Eric grew up in small town Calvert Texas where he would play 6-Man football like his brothers before him. While Eric had a successful college football career and Cooper having a successful College Basketball career Ryder wasn’t really sure exactly what path he wanted to pursue. That was until he had a breakout junior year at the linebacker spot. Ryder would break his older brothers tackle record in Calvert while also setting records for TFL and forced fumbles. His senior season was cut short by three games after Ryder suffered a broken collar bone. What is even more impressive about his senior season is that he broke all of his previous records with three less games. Coming out of High School at 6’4 260 Ryder looks D1 ready and his work ethic during the off-season has scouts drooling. Whenever Ryder decides to spend his next 4 years we believe he will make an immediate impact.
