Daequan was born in Waco, TX, to Bridgette Parker and Adrian Blackmon. At the age of 6, He was diagnosed with Autism and had to suffer with controlling his aggressiveness and attitude. He was a very troubled kid and the medical bills for his therapy were offer expensive so their parents were poor and had to find a new home to stay and work in Waco. So they moved to a small town 35 minutes southeast of Waco called Rosebud. He then attended the Rosebud-Lott Elementary School. He tried out for a youth team in a town nearby called Marlin called Marlin Bulldogs. He developed this excellent reflex ability and his strength were 2nd to none and was on a different level compared to the other kids. He came a star and was one of the top youth prospects in the country. Then on the morning of March 11, 2011, his father Adrian Blackmon was found dead outside the grocery store in Marlin. He was found face down on the sidewalk and it’s been ruled a homicide. Adrian’s best friend had shot him and that affected Daequan’s mental health since he found out. Daequan wasn’t the same again. He was all happy and cheering He was ongoing and a bright individual. Now he is just a emotionless and has this sort of like “I will carry on his legacy. I will be the next star.” He began working hard and hit the weight room and then he eventually attended Rosebud-Lott High School, a D2 School in a town between Rosebud and Lott called Travis. Daequan became the brightest star as a freshman recording 28.5 Sacks and 32 TFLs and became a very highly ranked DT in the state of Texas. Sophomore year he got injured and hasn’t played since. But Senior year came and he was ot of injury and showed a slow progression back to his older shell of himself. He is now recruited by numerous schools and will soon find out where he will go.
