Born in Gainesville, he started playing football at the age of 14, and was placed on the JV roster as a wide receiver his freshman year. He racked up 14 touchdowns, impressing the coach to put him at second string on Varsity. After he put up 10 touchdowns and the starter left for college, he was appraised with the starting position his last two seasons in highschool. He went into his Varsity year racking up, 12 touchdowns, 78 receptions, and over 2,000 receiving yards. Though he all that, they didn’t make it to the state championship, losing in regionals.
