Cade was born and raised in little Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He stood out at a young age among his peers. He helped lead his team to 2 playoff runs his junior and senior year but was never able to make it to the big game. He also led the team in receiving yards 3 years in a row and got all-conference and all-state honors his junior and senior years. He was a team captain both years as well. Cade also was a wrestler and threw shot and discus in track to help him get better at football.
