22 Demario James Garcia

James Garcia, nicknamed DJG when he started in Pop Warner, was a multifaceted player, playing quarterback, running back and wide receiver before becoming a running back and Wildcat quarterback when he got to Mater Dei. He rushed for 1985 yards and 23 touchdowns his senior year, and he even threw for 6 touchdowns out of the Wildcat. He is a balanced back, who can break a 50 or 60 yard run, but also can pound out those 1-4 yard runs on key third downs to keep the chains moving, and can be an asset in the passing game with his hands as well. His desire is to play for a P5 but he knows that if he goes to a G5 and does well, he can follow in the footsteps of his uncle Ben James who was drafted in the NFL from 4 time national champion Barrow University.
