Younger brother of the All American Defensive End, TJ Smith. JJ had some big shoes to fill for his High School when TJ graduated, but JJ got the job done. JJ started on the Varsity squad in just his Sophomore year and was able to set numerous school and district records, surpassing some set by his own brother, for tackles, tackles for loss, and forced fumbles. JJ has a passion for hitting and getting to the ball. His High School Coach stated “JJ is a generational talent who plays with a fierce passion and love for the game. Although he can be a headhunter at times, he has a desire decimate any opposing player with ferocity of a wild animal”. JJ looks to move up into collegiate play and surpass his older brothers accomplishments. JJ looks to make a name for himself and not be in the shadows of TJ.
