Thomas Harris was born on February 15th in Southern California, the Los Angeles area, however he did not spend much of his childhood there. He moved to the San Bernardino mountains where he lived for 8 years, then he moved to Arizona. It took him time to adjust to the heat, having went from a very cold place to a very hot place, but this did not stop him from playing football.
In 6th grade he played center for a flag football team which was his first experience playing organized football. In 7th and 8th grade he moved up to tackle football where he played both center and along the defensive line.
For his Freshman year he instantly developed a great relationship with his coach, he felt relatable to the head coach as they were both not native to the area. He started his freshman year as the backup center and a rotational DT. Mostly playing nose guard with some 3-tech. In his sophomore year, he felt less affectionate for the sport of football as his head coach was fired due to low budget, he started at center and rotated at DT, just like he did the year before, his grade took a hit as he loss interest with school in general. However, in his junior and senior year he once again fell in love with football and improved his grades, maintaining a GPA of 3.8, and fully transitioning to DT where he started and mostly played nose guard.
