Cillian MacBride grew up in Philadelphia playing football. His parents, both Irish immigrants, pushed him to play soccer, but Cillian was much bigger than most kids in his grade, and caught the football coach’s attention early on. At 6’9″ and 270 pounds he is an absolute force on the field. He plays on both sides of the ball in high school, but will be focusing on defense as he heads into college. He attends St Joseph’s Prep on a full scholarship where he has been a member of 2 PIAA 6A State Champions. His team is currently in the hunt for their 3rd straight title, and 4th in 5 seasons. His personal accolades include 4X All-Philadelphia Catholic League, 2X PCL DPOTY, 3X captain, 3X 1st team All-State, 4X All-Disctrict XII.
