8 Jake Price

Jake Price comes from a smaller midwestern town called Carthage. At 6’2 and 215 the freshman definitely brings the size for D1 secondary, primarily played SS in high school but showed proved he was also great in coverage leading the Tigers in ints at 7 on the season with 2 pick 6s! Price also lead his team in tackles at 87 solo and 158 on the year. Not only is he a thumper who loves to lay out the opposing team, it’s more than evident he has picked up a thing or two from Charles Tillman as he was able to strip the opposition 5 times last season recovering 4 of the 5 including a stolen handoff for a touch down. Price is a very strong defender who’s quick feet and ability to read the offensive plays really set him above the rest. As a multi sport athlete Price credited a majority of his conditioning and ability to stay uninjured to his 12 years of USA swim, the 3 time Tri-state champion never missed a start through his entire high school campaign. The honors he earned as a high school athlete were as follows; Missouri player of the year, 1st team all conference and league 3 times, 3 state championships, a very prestigious award presented by the city of Carthage known as the Coach Tree players award. After a highly decorated high school career Price is hoping to stay as a safety but has let every team he’s spoken with know he’s not afraid to change positions if need be, he wants to compete and help his team in whatever way possible!
