Living on the streets of New York City, Koon was able to hone his skills. Being one of the trash capitals of the world he worked tirelessly for the sanitation department. Given his new found hand strength the job required other skills. Constantly dodging taxi cab drivers who seemingly seemed to want to leave him as road kill during refuse pick up. Rick Koon might not say much, but scouts do see potential from this walk-on. When asked what he could bring to a team he simply muttered “Pick up trash, run fast.”
